New mural

I've just finished a mural in the back garden of the Hobgoblin pub, on London Road, Brighton.

I WON!!! I'm officially Brighton's JamDraw 2011 artistic winner - Huzzah! My new buddies "Sweet Garlic" won the music section, and Dave took this photo of my artwork - Huzzah again!

Jam Draw Final!

Howdy,

I've wormed my way through the heats, and am now in the final of this year's Jam Draw competition! WOO!

What this means is that i'll be "on stage" as it were, in the corner of the Hobgoblin Pub (on London Road, Brighton), from 8pm on Tuesday the 19th of April, drawing the sounds of SEVEN bands, Live, in time to their music! HUZZAH!! And cos it's a competition, there'll be another artist there too, the mysterious and enigmatic James John Vaughan, who'll likewise be painting and drawing what he hears.

Come along! Drink beer! Listen to music! Watch pictures being made!

Maybe see ya'll there,

Rory

Here I am, displaying some artworks and working on some others at Stewarts garden centre, Wimborne.

A few weeks back I painted up a set for a photo shoot for Brighton Fashion Week. Here's all about it - Clickity Click Click (Link to Garage Studios in Brighton)

I'm showing some paintings and prints in an Open House in Brighton for the first four weekends in May. Come and be amazed and dazzled, surprised and elated, and if you've got a few spare moments come and see my pictures too. They'll be nestled nicely away in a flip browser at a super house called "The Gloobah House" which is part of a series of houses all close to each other on the Dyke Road trail. It's located on The Drove, there's a map attached and Number 4 is where my stuff is.

Maybe see you there!

Tonight I'll be drawing in time to music at HA HA (a bar next to the pavilion in Brighton http://www.hahaonline.co.uk/brighton/). Essentially there's going to be some bands playing music, and a group of artists interpreting said music into artwork. I've no idea what's going to happen, but I'm sure it'll make a super spectator sport, especially when i muddle my bass and treble clefs up.

I was artist in residence at an NHS conference in Manchester recently. 40 odd pages of artwork drawn over a couple of days, at least half of it in full colour. Here's a couple of images.
