I had the delightful pleasure of spending a day in the Natural History vault underneath the museum, drawing the various specimens that lurk there.

Raven skeleton.

Swallow tail butterfly.

Lumpsucker.

Raven skull.

Aphrodisia beetle.

Lumpfish.

Bird of paradise.

Golden lion tamarin.

Pangolin.

Armadillo.

Gopher.

My friends at the Invisible Circus in Bristol invited me to come and draw them whilst rehearsing for their new play. It features masks.

I love using brush pens to create a spontaneous line for drawing and shading observational drawings of people and places.

Life Drawing at the Jam Factory in Oxford the other day.

One of the most fun jobs in a while was to emulate Isambard Kingdom Brunel's handwriting and draw a load of diagrams for a TV show about his life.  I got to play the part of…. No hold on, I was a STUNT MAN (YAY!!!!), playing the part of Brunel's hand, for about 10 seconds.  Fame at last!  I'm off to get my Equity card now.

Weirdly, my personal handwriting has never recovered, and I now habitually write like IKB.  Now that's what I can an enduring legacy.
